Peterson’s defense team challenges ‘Drew’s law’
(CNN) — Stacy Peterson had disturbing things to say about her husband, Drew Peterson.
She is still missing, but her statements about former Bolingbrook police Sgt. Drew Peterson, who is accused of murdering his previous wife, may start to come out in court at a crucial pretrial hearing that begins Tuesday.
Her statements, according to court documents, are likely to include her suspicions and fears of Peterson.

Some new ways men profit from marriage
NEW YORK (CNNMoney.com) — The financial balance of power in American marriages is shifting.
A Pew Research Center survey released Tuesday found that 22% of men made less money than their wives in 2007.
By comparison, 4% of husbands earned less than their wives in 1970.
A shift in education patterns was a factor in the Pew report, which polled U.S.-born 30- to 44-year olds.
In 1970, 28% of husbands had more education than their wives. By 2007, that figure dropped to 19%.
Orphans from quake-ravaged Haiti arrive in U.S.
Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania (CNN) — Dozens of Haitian children rescued from an orphanage after last week’s earthquake arrived Tuesday in Pennsylvania to be placed with foster families until adoptions are finalized.
Gov. Edward Rendell, who traveled to Haiti to accompany the orphans back to his state, said the 53 children from the Bresma Orphanage in the Haitian capital of Port-au-Prince were flown to Florida on an Air Force C-17 transport plane. They were then transferred to another plane to fly to Pittsburgh, he said at a news conference at the airport.
